Lightning Wallets

Crypto Tap uses the Bitcoin Lightning Network for all payments.

There are many different Lightning Wallets to choose from. We use: Wallet of Satoshi because it is the most simple, especially for beginners.

Here is our little Wallet of Satoshi Tutorial which will get you a wallet address with the " @ " in it.

VERY IMPORTANT ****** Started March 9th... WE WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTING LIGHTNING ADRRESSES IN THE EMAIL FORMAT. This is because we have wasted too much time chasing expired Lightning Invoices just to get people paid. Some expire in hours if not used and they all expire after 1 use. Not a good fit for Crypto Tap!
Existing wallets will still work but will need to be changed eventually.

• ZBD Wallet
• Speed Wallet

Note: These wallets (and others probably) support Lightning Addresses in the email format (e.g., [email protected] which is one of ours.). Please use this format rather than a standard Lightning invoice starting with "lnbc". Even if it's just to receive from us then you can transfer to your main.

Lightning Addresses

Submit your address via the gear icon at the top left of your Dashboard. You can change it anytime.

Why avoid invoices? Lightning invoices are one-time use and expire quickly. This makes them unreliable for regular payouts and very time-consuming for both you and us.

The Lightning Network is perfect for micro-payments: fast, secure, and free in most cases!
